Heavy atmospheres and vast spaces, I've found, are remarkably rare in the instance of artwork prominently featuring buildings and architecture. See how view from a viaduct by ~gregoriogruber induces a specific mood by associating with commonly-overlooked elements such as air particle concentration. This painting is quite creepy... it looks just like any other polluted or dusty cityscape with the fog/lighting effect you put in there, but when one realizes that the ONLY person in the painting is a child on a bike during the day, the sense of surreal sets in. Where did the people go?
